10. Newent Golf Course

Opened in 1994, the family owned and run 9 hole golf course consists of 6 par 4’s,  3 par 3’s, 23 bunkers, mature trees and water on the 3rd. All this makes for a challenging round for every level of golfer. Our sandy soil means we are rarely closed due to rain.

12. Explore 3 market towns by special community bus

The Daffodil Line bus service is the ideal form of green transport for local and visitors to the area to explore the three local, different and charming market towns of Ross on Wye, Ledbury and Newent, surrounding villages and rural countryside.

The community bus service was started in 2022. So, by taking the Daffodil Line you will  help sustain the 2 hour bus services, hopefully relaxed  being car free,  and able to chat and go at your own pace along the route.

You can stop off at the occasional pub or circular walks as you please and then catch the next bus.

The bus route passes close to the Royal Oak, Walwyn Arms and Slip Tavern near Much Marcle as well as Western’s Cider and Hellens Manor and Gardens.  Moving on past the Beauchamp Arms in Dymock and the Three Choirs Vineyard en route to Newent where you will find the Kings Arms, George Hotel, Black Dog and Cobblers micro-pub.

Heading West the route passes the Kilcot Inn, then the Roadmakers in Gorsley. Onwards to Upton Bishop’s Moody Cow, with the Alma at Linton and the Penny Farthing at Aston Crews.
